Description
Connected to Gretzky. Build OMERO.insight-4.4.4-220-4c19ffc-dirty-ice33-b23-mac.
Logged in as user-5. Imported test_images_good_dv_CFPNEAT01_R3D.dv and IAGFP-Noc01_R3D.dv.
Downloaded companion files had no text inside.
Checked the original, pre-import files on squig (24kB size, openable with text editor and have reasonable text).
Checked with Will - he checked that these files have 0kB size on the server - probably an Import problem.

Possibly also related to an issue with archived files in screens that Colin ran into in dev_4_4.

Referring to the original bug, gretzky is an fslite server and as yet there will be no way to get the companion file as it isn't linked as an OriginalFile? to the pixels. However the size of the uploaded file should not be zero.

Need to check on howe but I don't think harvard is using fs-lite (need to check)

It may be that these are two unrelated problems. Definitely worth checking gretzky against howe.

All files added at import seem to have a size set to 0 in DB. Note that the files are correctly uploaded.

Tested against gretzky with the post-alpha-3 build of Insight. Imported the same files as Petr did. BF picks up the .log files (companion files) on import time, but Insight only allows for downloading of the Original Metadata. It it not 0 bytes and has contents that roughly corresponds (different file structure) to the information in .log file.

Closing, as the issue described in this ticket (i.e. 0 byte companion files for DV) doesn't happen on gretzky anymore.
This was also noticed (Harvard server) when linking pytable to an image. The size does not seen to be correctly set in DB when creating the original file.
