BUG: Metadata display in IE8

Reported by: pwalczysko Owned by: wmoore
Priority: major Milestone: 5.0.0-rc1
Component: Web Version: 4.4.9
Keywords: n.a. Cc: ux@…
Resources: n.a. Referenced By: n.a.
References: n.a. Remaining Time: n.a.
Sprint: n.a.

Description

Build OMERO.web 4.4.4-203-fa8e690-dirty-ice33-b55.
Clicked on an image (Rosier.lif, but the same for other images as well).
In the right pane, went to Acquisition tab.
If you hover over the middle of the harmonica items, like "Original Metadata", the pointer is shown as an arrow, not a hand, as it should be.
Also, when you click onto the middle harmonica items, like "Original Metadata", they do not expand.
You have to go to the right, then click on the small arrow to expand the harmonicas.

After you have expanded the Original Metadata by clicking onto the right of the harmonica:
almost all the fields, also the unset ones are shown.
If you click onto the "Show unset fields" line, nothing much happens, as (almost) all fields are shown.
If you click onto the "Hide unset fields" after this, many unset fields do not hide.

This bug is specific for IE8 (run on Win XP). The features are okay on Safari (mac), Firefox and Google Chrome (Win XP) though.

(In [61a65311f91c2ab42b429b6e0e58101b5fb6c011/ome.git] on branch develop) Fix unset fields in IE8. See #9885

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

Partly fixed in https://github.com/openmicroscopy/openmicroscopy/pull/1741

Didn't manage to fix the harmonica items not being fully clickable, but hopefully this is minor enough to ignore now.

comment:13 Changed 10 years ago by jburel

Could you create a ticket for the harmonica problem in that case? Thanks

comment:14 Changed 10 years ago by wmoore

The remaining issue is very minor and would take an unknown amount of time to address, so I don't expect to ever tackle the issue (unless priority changes - E.g. someone actually complains about it). Best not to have tickets open that we have no intention of fixing - can always reopen this ticket if it's priority becomes higher (no point in creating a new ticket).

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets. You may also have a look at Agilo extensions to the ticket.
