BUG: Download and blue buttons in IE8

Description
Build OMERO.web 4.4.4-203-fa8e690-dirty-ice33-b55.
Click on an image, go to right pane, General tab.
Choose "Download image as OME-Tiff".
In the resulting popup, the Cancel button is blue (unreadable - see attached image), and because the order of the buttons on the window is unusual - the Cancel button is on the left, it leads to confusion (not clear which button to press in order to Create).
Also buttons of other windows are blue-covered in this version (always the left one).
When the Create is chosen:
Activities window comes up, after the creation is finished, the three thumbnails inside the creation bar of the Activities window (Navigate..., Download file..., Show info...) are blank and do not work either (see attached screenshot).

support for IE9+
Although the blue cover of the buttons in popup windows like Create OME-TIFF will go away when the window is clicked into,
There are two cases where the blue cover never goes away and this is (see attached screenshot)
