BUG: highlighting of items in IE8

Build OMERO.web 4.4.4-203-fa8e690-dirty-ice33-b55.
Create a share workflow:
Put images into the basket.
Hit the Manage the basket button.
The list will appear.
The images in the list can be selected, but the selection is not being highlighted (see attached screenshot).
Further info:
When list view is chosen on images in the Data tab (not images in the basket), the items in this one are selectable and highlighted. Nevertheless, a selection coming probably from the browser itself (light blue, see attached image) is being pasted over the text and this is not avoidable.

Win 7 IE 9 laptop, gretzky (develop): This workflow is as expected, no problem.
Win XP, IE 8 laptop, gretzky, develop: This workflow is broken as described above - the selection is possible, but (maybe) just single images are being selected - no way to know, as the highlighting is not working.

Fixed the basket highlighting https://github.com/openmicroscopy/openmicroscopy/pull/1741
, but not the selection "from the browser itself" in the Data tab list view. Too minor to spend more time on now.
