RFE: numerically sort original metadata keys containing indices

Description
In many places, we add the timestamp, stage position, exposure time, etc. to the original metadata hashtable with a plane index appended to the key. It would be nice to consistently make it so that these keys are in numerical order when sorted, i.e.
timestamp 0 timestamp 1 timestamp 2 timestamp 3
instead of:
timestamp 0 timestamp 1 timestamp 10 timestamp 11
Probably the easiest thing to do is to add extra digits to the plane index.
