Description
Images and datasets may need to undergo pre-processing before any analysis jobs are run. This might include:
- Intensity normalisation. How would this be stored? Record the transform, or the normalised image?
- Colour to greyscale conversion. Multiple algorithms such as luminance from LAB, PCA for a single image or whole dataset. Again how will this be stored?
- Registration, e.g. to locate the relevant part of a knee within an image since it might not be centred. Could be a (rectangular) ROI, or save the cropped image?
We therefore need a way to allow these jobs to bed run, and for intermediate results/images to be stored.
