Most machine learning algorithms will require a training stage. The requirements for this API are unclear, but may include support for:
- Discrete and continuous classifiers/predictors.
- Multiple classifiers/predictors, possibly used in tandem for emsemble learning.
- Handling and storage of parameters
- Definition of a context for each learner (See XXXX)
- Are we aiming to support training of algorithms which have been developed and tuned elsewhere, or do we want to support the full training/testing/optimisation process which means we'd need to suport cross-validation.
