getChannels() without createRE

Description
When we just want to get channel names (E.g. to display in the right-hand panel) we don't need to load the Rendering Engine.
Maybe add a parameter to getChannels()
image.getChannels(loadRE=true)
so if you know you're not going to need the RE, then you can get Channels a bit faster.
NB: we already support getChannels() with no RE, if @assert_re fails.

This is such an edge case - can't think that this is worth doing.
