As the problem is identical on Gretzky, bumping up the priority.

It seems that you have to turn that on on your machine http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/971729

@atarkowska : I did turn it on for the Firefox, apparently only Mozilla is blocking this plugin - I had to click INTO the black window and then a more logical popup appeared asking me whether I want to activate this plugin although it has security vulnerabilitties. I chose "activate and remember" and after this all works normally. See https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/p428

So this would be sorted - but do we have any way of preventing users to be bothered by this fairly confusing popup ?

I am not sure we can do anything about that.

Just returning from session with Kat from Swedlow lab. She is using Firefox 17 on Win 7. The popup is all the time in her way, every time when she changes between the Webfigure and the Webclient. Although this is the "harmless" version of this popup in her case (probably just until she upgrades Firefox), it is annoying enough - note that even with this popup, the right-hand pane in Web is unusable unless you click the popup off. @wmoore suggested switching the script off for Firefox - not sure - will that disable the usage of Webstart if the script is switched off ?

After discussing with Petr, we think the simplest solution would be to change the webstart button at the top of webclient into a webstart link that opens /webstart/ in a popup window. This will remove any webstart code from the main webclient window, and it only means that you have one more click to activate webstart.

Given that the potential to annoy a lot of non-webstart users is quite high, and the number of webstart users (who start in /webclient/) is likely very small, I think this will be the nicest solution.
