Bug: lif MIF rdefs on develop — at Version 2

Description (last modified by wmoore)

I'm seeing some strange behaviour when copying and pasting rdefs between LIF MIF images on gretzky, noticed by Ola: https://github.com/openmicroscopy/openmicroscopy/pull/1779#issuecomment-29372344

These are "sample files.lif" from Martin.
On the web, if I copy settings from 1st image [image 01 - XYCh-10x] and paste to the second [image 02 - XYCh-20x], in the image viewer window, the viewer does not update (images not compatible?) but the thumbnail in the main window does. Even when I refresh the thumbnail, it has strange settings (different from image viewer).

Then go to Insight, where I see the same strange thumbnail which doesn't correspond to saved settings (see screenshot).

Copying and pasting in Insight causes crash (reported as #11767).

2 different things in that ticket

  • The crash: insight issue
  • The copy rendering def. Will could you split the ticket. since the 2 issues are not related.
