Description
Creating polygons from polylines would be a lot easier on the user (and more familiar from other software) than trying to manipulate the polygon tool into the correct shape. It looks like this is supported in the ROI schema, but not implemented in Omero.
GIS software (ArcGIS) would be a helpful model to look at for things like this--drawing, analysis, and rollback/tracking options--since their users are doing a lot of the same things our users are. Things that might be helpful would be stuff like: Auto snapping for creating polygons from polylines, to guide the lines to the existing vertices or a “create polygons” feature used to generate multiple polygons after carefully polylining everything.
