Possibly make EventType mutable on ServiceFactory

Description

Currently the only mutable property on ServiceFactory is umask, which can be set before any call to any of the services provided by that ServiceFactory instance. It might also make sense to have EventType mutable so that a single ServiceFactory would be able to take part in various activities.

#416 shows why this might be difficult. Also difficult because of the event handling for StatefulServices (see #326) Perhaps a WontFix.

Further, client-side ServiceFactory instances are pretty light-weight, and having a separate one for each EventType isn't out-of-the-question.
