Just did:

 $JBOSS_HOME/bin/run.sh
 svn co ...
 java omero setup
 # fixed FormatException compile error in bioformats-omero
 java omero quick install deploy 
 java omero adduser # with your inputs

No exception. Can you check jar and server versions, etc.?

Caused by omero.rootpass not being present in etc/local.properties Added null checks in r1033 Closing. Any requests for different usage scenarios (i.e. that the task should ask for password and not look in some file) should go in #407.
