Description (last modified by jmoore)
Initially from the command-line and then using the same API from other clients, users should be able to take tabular data, formatted according to some general rules, and be able to create a data set in OMERO (stored in OmeroTables) or append to an existing data set both more rows and more columns.
For example:
bin/omero med load --csv ...
API options might could be taken from matplotlib.mlab.csv2rec:
csv2rec(fname, comments='#', skiprows=0, checkrows=0, delimiter=',', converterd=None, names=None, missing='', missingd=None, use_mrecords=False)
If the tabular format itself is not sufficient descriptive, some metadata file may be needed. If that's the case, some investigation should be done of possible existing schemas. One example of extended metadata that may be needed is the AAA information for each column. Also for this reason, the initial import should be included in the auditing system.
Note: use of "med" above is subject to decision on the name of the project
