Description

When this milestone is complete, the API will be in a final state (pending successful translation of the remaining SCIFIO core and Bio-Formats classes). Before that happens, the API needs to be reviewed to minimize the potential for future conflicts during conversion of the old API to the new, and to ensure that the implementation being committed to is sane and logical.
