Bug: Imacom 16 bit image is not viewable

Selecting one of the images takes over a minute to move the selection highlight to the image, and opening the viewer likewise takes around a minute.
In the case of test_images_good/imacon/ss1.fff, series #1 and #2 are viewable. Series #3 is not viewable with a "not a valid image" error. Maybe FS-related?

Thumbnail issues appear resolved, though the thumbnail for the third series is black (it's uint16 while 1 and 2 are uint8). However, the uint16 series #3 is still not viewable.

I now see thumbnails for series 1 and 2, but three still lacks a thumbnail and is not viewable.
