Problem when using the OpenGL version on Windows XP
Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.awt.image.DataBufferByte cannot be cast to java.awt.image.DataBufferInt at org.openmicroscopy.shoola.util.image.io.WriterImage.bytesToDataBuffer(WriterImage.java:205) ... 13 more at org.openmicroscopy.shoola.env.rnd.RenderingControlProxy.handleException(RenderingControlProxy.java:193) at org.openmicroscopy.shoola.env.rnd.RenderingControlProxy.renderPlaneCompressed(RenderingControlProxy.java:482) at org.openmicroscopy.shoola.env.rnd.RenderingControlProxy.renderPlaneCompressedAsTexture(RenderingControlProxy.java:587) at org.openmicroscopy.shoola.env.rnd.RenderingControlProxy.renderPlaneAsTexture(RenderingControlProxy.java:1809)

You may also have a look at Agilo extensions to the ticket.
do not use compress method so don't use buffered image.
An alternative solution might be required later.
Code committed in trunk and branch.
