Comment: Ok, I answered my last question - I forgot about the Tags panel to browse the images. However... I found an image I was interested in, selected it, then double-clicked on its dataset using the 'contained in' information at the bottom of the right panel. This jumped to the correct dataset, but it won't thumbnail now, even if I go into another dataset and back again (in fact, now the other dataset's thumbs are in the workspace)

to test:

Tag an image contained in a dataset.
go the tags tab.
select the tagged image.
go to the right-hand panel and expand the "contained in" section
the dataset containing the image should be displayed.
double-click on the dataset.
The "hierarchy browser" should be opened automatically and the dataset selected.

when double-clicking on in the "contained in" section (right panel)
select and browse the dataset in the hierarchy tab (close #7187)
