Bug: bfconvert can generate broken PNGs

Reported by: mtbcarroll Owned by: mlinkert
Priority: minor Milestone: 5.1.3
Component: Bio-Formats Version: 5.1.2

Description (last modified by mtbcarroll)

With Bio-Formats 5.1.2,

bfconvert test_images_good/ome-tiff/multi-channel-4D-series.ome.tif 'S%s_C%c_Z%z_T%t.png'

seems to work fine but for S0_C0_Z0_T0.png libpng-based viewers report,

libpng warning: acTL: CRC error

and the resulting PNG file is smaller than from old versions. I can't actually get GraphicsMagick to open the file at all.

This regression appears to have occurred between versions 4.4.4 and 4.4.5.

Bumping up to 5.1.3 given the severity. This might merit a new (or expanded?) manual testing scenario as well.
