Bug: Import stops indefinitely part way through multiple imports

Description
All imports from test_images_good on howe. Using OMERO.insight-4.4.0-RC1-50-b78e1b3-ice33-b184 on Linux 64-bit.
Import 1:
avi, gif, jpeg2000, jpg, jpk, khoros, targa, tif-big-images, ubm
Import 2:
incell3000/samples/SBS-bmp
After completing importing all of Import 1 (all succeeded, with some thumbnail generation failure), Import 2 never starts.

Also fails on the Mac (image 3). Here Import 1 was cancelled. Import 2 never started. Re-adding import 2 as import 3 resulted in import 3 working, but import 2 remains frozen, even after completion (image 4).
